Times when yacht charters are cheapest

When looking for affordable yacht charters uk, please note that there are 3 pricing seasons, low (November to February) mid (March to May plus October) and high (June to September). Prices are approximately 40% cheaper in low season and 20% lower in mid season compared to high season.

Mid week is cheaper than weekend

A mid week day can be discounted by up to 50% compared to a weekend day. Hurst Point add no premiums for spring/summer Bank Holiday weekends which in 2024 are:

  • Easter 29 March to 1st April
  • Early May Bank Holiday 6th May
  • Spring Bank Holiday 27th May
  • Summer Bank Holiday

 

Cheap boat hire

Private charter or scheduled event.

Private Charters

Yachts can take either 7 or 12 crew plus skippers. If maximum number of crew present, price per person is kept to a minimum.

Scheduled Events

Individuals, couples or other size groups can participate by the berth, effectively sharing the cost with others which is another affordable option available.

Special Offers

Special Offers are posted here from time to time. Occasionaly we may be crew training with spare berths available at discounted rates. Or a yacht needs to be delivered somewhere when extra hands would be welcome.

Prices

All prices quoted relate to skippered charter and include items such as yacht hire, skipper fees and expenses, berthing fees, catering as agreed, use of all safety and wet weather equipment and VAT at 20%. If you follow the advice above you will be able to enjoy a days sailing in the Solent from just £50 per person, less than we charged when starting out in 2003!
